There are some places, some smells, certain words or strangers sometimes, which stay in mind.
Moments that we live, as usual, which seem nothing, but which definitely leave us a bit shaked up when we think about it later on.

It's definitely not the classic memory: "Oh yes, that trip was cool...sunny, amazing landscapes, etc...", I am talking about the kind of memory that, after months, years, take our feelings straight back to that place, that smell, that person.

It's exactly what happened when I met the Death Valley.

I was expecting a lot from this California trip, thinking that Los Angeles and San Francisco would be my favourites ever! Whatever places in between wouldn't be that much important, still cool, but not that important.

And, then, one day, I found myself in a middle of nowhere, surrounded by infinite roads and lands, with a burning sun like I've never experienced before.

I was the hardest days of the trip, it was so hot, we couldn't get out of the car more than 10min, there was just air in that place and we couldn't even breathe it; But it was also the best days ever.

The vastness, the emptiness, the "nothing" sounds, for me like an "everything".
The feeling of liberty,  serenity, I felt happy.
